Each year Chaska, MN launches a local fireworks show to celebrate the 4th of July. This has become a city tradition, and Chaska is proud to have one of the best fireworks shows in the southwest metro area. The fireworks start around 10:00pm, and there are several great vantage points to watch including McKnight Park, Jonathan Elementary, and Jonathan Square; but the majority of people watch from the Chaska Commons shopping area parking lots. The fireworks are launched near Lake Jonathon, so the parking lots off a great view directly across the highway. There’s even a fireworks tent in the parking lot for last minute purchases of sparklers and other items for the kids to enjoy.
